DIPLOMA IN MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION
INTRODUCTION
Diploma in Multimedia Application will prepare you for an exciting future by offering instruction in interactive multimedia programming, video production and editing, digital photo manipulation, electronic publishing, digital audio and video, and entrepreneurship.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 credits in SPM / ‘O’ level / Senior Middle 3 or equivalent, with credit in English.
- Applicants with less than 4 credits in SPM / ‘O’ level / Senior Middle 3 or other equivalent qualification will be required to sit for an entry test.
- Mature applicants (above 21 years) with minimum of one GCE ‘O’ level or other equivalent qualification will not be required to sit for the entry test.
- Applicants do not need to have prior computing knowledge.
COURSE’S AIMS
This course is designed to meet the following aims:-
• To provide an educational foundation for a range of creative, technical and management careers in multimedia.
• To develop students’ ability in multimedia through effective use and combination of the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the program.
• To enable students to plan and implement a multimedia production project.
• To enable students to develop interactive multimedia applications for distribution on Internet or VCDs.
• To enable students to use digital film, video, audio and editing systems.
• To enable students to develop creative web sites.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
On completion of this program, graduates can be involved in in-house media production, advertising firms, training presentation, audio and video production houses, e-learning development, web design development, animator, etc. Graduates would be able to work as multimedia developer, animator, web developer, trainer, video specialist, etc.
