DIPLOMA IN E-BUSINESS
INTRODUCTION
The world of business today, is fast-paced, competitive and operates on a global scale. This requires organisations to be continually innovative in the conduct and delivery of their products and services in the emerging internet-based, global economy. In order to achieve this, the concept of E-Business allows the organisation to take full advantage of the potential benefits offered by the Internet and the Worldwide Web in areas such as in attracting customers in global markets through website content development, in managing a web-enabled supply chain, in e-commerce marketing and procurement and in automated information systems to support and enhance their day-to-day business processes.
Businesses today are therefore, moving into what has been described as the ‘Second Internet Revolution’ in using new technologies to improve their business practices both internally and externally, for sustainable competitive advantage. The demand for graduates with skills and knowledge in e-business is on the rise.
